CLIPPED Music Video Festival 2020: Australian Finalists Announcement

As the curtain prepares to rise on the landmark 5 year anniversary edition of the CLIPPED Music Video Festival, we’re thrilled to announce the line-up of the Top 30 music video finalists, who are in the running for a huge array of awards and prizes.

This year’s pandemic may be the reason CLIPPED Music Video Festival looks different to previous years, but in many ways, the festival will go ahead bigger, better and with some exciting surprises planned for the night.

The festival will screen a selection of the best Australian music videos of 2020, along with exclusive premiers, industry discussions and the presentation of the hotly contested CLIPPED Music Video Awards and prizes.

The CLIPPED MVF will be taking place this Saturday the 5th of December 2020.

It will play out to an exclusive live audience at the iconic Ritz Cinema in Randwick, or will be available to livestream at clippedfestival.com via Maestro, the world’s leading interactive livestream platform.

Things will kick off online at 5pm, with the world first launch of a CLIPPED Online Music Video Channel. With a nod to RAGE, CLIPPED will curate a program of clips from this year’s festival entries, interviews with the creators and exclusive behind the scenes content.

At 8pm the physical music video screenings will begin at the Ritz. Click here to score yourself a seat.

Finalists will be in the running for awards in the categories of: Best Video, Directing, Cinematography, Animation, Editing, Production Design, Choreography and more, with a massive list of prizes for winners and runners up, totalling over $20 000 from our incredible sponsors at:

One Accounting, JBL, Chris Chow Lawyers, Zoom, Blonde Robot, The Ritz Cinema, Randwick, Blackmagic, Crayon, RODE, Panavision, Sydney Lodges, Sachtler, 3 Legged Thing (3LT), Peak Design, Tamron, ARRI , The Front, Atomos, Angelbird, Rotolight, RED Cameras, Digital Projection

This year, the effort from the judging crew, made up of international filmmakers, music video gurus and industry professionals, was no small feat. The quality of entries was extraordinary; and a true testament to the unabated creativity coming out of Australia today.
